Today Pat, Julie, Korin, Lightening, and I went to the elementary school at Concordia to observe Ezekiel's class. It was a gorgeous day to walk about three miles each way, which took us one and a quarter hours each way. My muscles are sore from climbing hills, but the exercise was so nice! After we left the school, we waded upstream in the stream which crosses the road. We ate granola bars, beef jerky, and oranges while sitting on some boulders next to the stream. Of course, national children followed us everywhere we went.. not quite sure what the fascination is! Carl went to Menyamya today to try to get the other fourwheeler working. He came back late around 8pm. We were all glad to see him! The school was interesting to observe. The children do everything in unison pretty much and just yell out answers. They also sang a few songs. There were a lot of posters around the classroom. Today Ezekiel taught them to read tree names. There was one list of trees that grow close to the house and another list for trees that grow in the bush! It was an interesting way to classify them! I'm really tired...
