Location: Ukarumpa and Goroka, Papua New Guinea
This morning, the guys went to play golf, and we girls went and did some shopping. Goroka actually reminds me a little of Newark or something... only smaller and Tok Pisin instead of Spanish... and bilums and bare feet and all. But the buildings and sidewalks and all had a similar feel. There were also quite a few people around. Ginny and I had an interesting time "bartering" with some men selling baskets. Later, we all met at the Bird of Paradise Resort Hotel, I went in the pool a little, we ate pizza for lunch, and we shared modules. On the drive home, nobody got car sick, and we went to the Pfanzs' for supper. Their youngest son was entertaining us for most of the night... chair monsters and fire monsters 
. I was tired and didn't talk much. The girl from the horse paddocks who wanted to know who I was on Tuesday is Leah Pfanz, and she remembered my name . As the evening wore down and Ginny and I were discussing how tired we all were, I just rested my head on her shoulder for a few moments. I am so glad Jim and Ginny were and are our leaders. I am so blessed by them as examples and role models for me... they are somewhat like second parents to me. I have found taht I can talk to them as friends, but I still respect them and look up to them so much. I still have my ten minute module to work on in the morning... and I want to go help at the horse paddocks, so g'night.
